Father Christmas’ Victorian Winter Grotto: Saturday 14 December
Can you hear his sleigh bells? Step back into Christmases past in this special Saturday event. Compose a letter then present it to Father Christmas and receive a special gift before you leave. A magical experience for those that still believe! Combine with our Make & Take activity. Families, sessions between 10am - 12pm & 1pm – 4pm. £5.50 per person, book online here.

The Museum will close at 5pm on Saturday 21 December and will then remain closed throughout the Christmas period. We will reopen on Thursday 2 January 2025.

It’s pumpkin picking season! Hunt high and low for the pumpkins hidden throughout the Museum, can you spot our little mouse along the way? Even our youngest visitors will enjoy this trail. Then collect your prize from Reception and take away your trail to colour in at home. £1 per trail, pay on the day
Sport in Mind Session: Mum & Baby Movement & Exercise for Mental Wellbeing: Every Monday
Light movement and exercise for mums and babies with our lovely instructor! These sessions are for mums with babies under 1, experiencing low mood, isolation or loneliness or difficulties with their mental health. We have created a breakout room, aimed at neurodivergent visitors and their families. Quiet areas with tents and cushions and sensory toys will be available.
