These sessions are for mums with babies under 1, experiencing low mood, isolation or loneliness or difficulties with their mental health. Museums, My Way: Every Saturday
We have created a breakout room, aimed at neurodivergent visitors and their families. Quiet areas with tents and cushions and sensory toys will be available. Families can enjoy exploring the galleries using our sensory bags, then take time out to relax before continuing their visit. Families, Free, drop in

Medieval Rhymetime, Song and Live Music: Wednesday 19 February
Celebrate the history of Medieval Reading Abbey. Just in time for February half term a special version of our weekly Rhymetime, incorporating live music, Medieval songs and possibly even some dance! Ghaetta is a local group who play lively dance music from the distant past on replica Medieval and Renaissance instruments and who will be dressed up in brightly coloured costumes from the period. Why not drop in to join us and enjoy or Medieval craft activity. Aimed at families of all ages, from our usual Rhymetime audience to older siblings on their school holidays. Victorian Schoolroom Experience in the Gateway: Friday 21 February
Meet a Victorian schoolteacher and re-learn the ‘3Rs’. A 45-minute experience for adults and children over 5 in our unique Victorian classroom, in the historic Abbey Gateway. Please note that the Gateway has no step free access and there are uneven steps and floors.
