Hi I’m Ganna, I am a refugee from Ukraine. I chose to write about a small button found at Reading Abbey with the image of a sphinx. Have you ever thought what kind of person, or personality, can be hidden behind such a small thing? A small button can reveal a whole person. A person who has lived a whole life, like you or me. And then there is only the button. I want to see the face, to touch it. On the stand in the museum there is an explanation of this artefact; the button belonged to a man who serve a family. A small person can sometimes leave a very bright trace behind, and a big person can burn everything around them, killing millions.
