Learn about the fascinating world of the Abbey Quarter and medieval medicine. What sort of medical practices did people perform in the medieval period? How hygienic were they? Visit the Abbey Gateway herb garden and have a go at making a medieval tooth salve using herbs. Then discover how the Abbey monks made inks out of natural materials and used them to create stunning manuscripts. Make your own ink to design and write your own illuminated manuscript!
