Workshop: Basket Weaving with Christine Brewster
In days gone by almost everything that was carried or stored or collected would have been put into a basket. Baskets were made from whatever material was available locally.
In this workshop we will be using English willow grown in Somerset to make a small basket that can be used for collecting fruit or nuts, or many other uses. We will look at the selection and preparation of materials and several weaving techniques to make a beautiful and robust basket.
