What
A rare opportunity to work with a life model in the splendid space of the Sir John Madejski Art Gallery in Reading Museum, surrounded and inspired by the figurative exhibition Rubens to Sickert. We will be exploring form, structure and body movement as well as the relationship between figure and space. Workshops will be led by local artist Jenny Halstead (jennyhalstead.co.uk). Spaces are limited (15 max per session).
Please bring a variety of dry materials:
Pencil, charcoal, conte, sepia, water-soluble pens or pencils, pastel soft or oil, an aqua-brush filled with water for washes or small amount of water and brush.
Paper – white and half-tone.
Easel if you have one, drawing board and a cloth for the floor.
No ink, acrylic or oil can be used in the gallery.
Please be aware this workshop involves nude modelling.
