Face up against mythical monsters from our gallery in real life (well… boardgame life…) at Reading Museum’s Monsters and Myths Games Day!

We are excited to have partnered with Eclectic Games, Reading’s own multi-award-winning specialist games shop, and the Ure Museum, Reading University’s fantastic museum of ancient Mediterranean archaeology, to bring you this afternoon of table-top board gaming.

The day will be kicking off with a free talk given by Dr Tim Penn exploring games in antiquity in Reading Museum’s Welcome Gallery.

If the talk inspires you to get into ancient gaming, you can head upstairs afterwards try out some ancient board games generously provided by the Ure museum. Or you can pit yourself against foes from Cerberus to Cyber Bunny in a selection of mythology-themed modern tabletop games from our generous partners Eclectic Games.
