What
British Science Week 2020 is celebrating ‘Our Diverse Planet’, encouraging young people to think about the diversity of the planet, from biological diversity and social diversity, to the diversity of knowledge and STEM careers.
We will be exploring the amazing diversity of tropical rainforests with workshops written specifically for the younger audience and their parents, delivered by award winning Mini Professors. We will learn about plants and animals of the world's tropical rainforests and create a model of the tiered forest structure. We will focus on frogs in the second part of the workshop, learning about the frog development cycle, how they eat and how we can help our native frogs survive. Also included is a short video, a story and making froggy craft items to take home.
Sessions are split into age groups, but siblings are welcome to attend the same session, just please make sure to give your children's ages when booking. Adults must stay with their children during the workshop.
