Here you can find out about projects where we are seeking comments from the local community. We may also need help, information or objects from local groups and people for displays and exhibitions. You can find out more by clicking on the links on the left.

We work with local groups to produce small-scale displays in our community case in the Reading People & Place Gallery on the Museum's ground floor.

Displays have included Jackson’s department store, Girl Guides, speedway, Caversham history, steel bands and the Reading Festival. If you belong to a group that has a collection of objects that you think would make an interesting display please send us a completed proposal form, available to download below.
